I understand that many parents have either worked in admission offices or are interview on this board. I have a question regarding the teacher's check lists.

There are things like "top few in my career", "excellent" all the way down to "below avg" that the teachers have to check off. However, my concern is that will they consider the years that the teacher has been teaching into consideration? For eg, i can give it to a teacher who has taught over 30 years or one who taught only 5 years. i am sure that i will be "top few encountered in career" for most of the checklists for the teacher who has been teaching for 5 years and mostly "excellent" with a few "top few in my career" for the teacher who has taught for over 30 years. Does is matter whom i give the forms to?

I am confident that they will both give me 'top few encountered in career' for my academic and extracurrilar involvement. Factors such as sense of humor is a bit harder to get "Top few encountered in career."

First you should ask whether the teachers will even fill in the boxes. Many teachers do not.
