I know that programs like the US Senate Youth program among others provide a means of travelling and learning all throughout the United States.

What programs are there? Are there any sponsored or no-cost programs?

Students Ambassadors- 3 week trips

Need to be recommended. They offer full scholarships to low income kids, but rest pay.

Wait. Aren't you going to uni next year? They will have good intership programs throughout the US--and good Study Abroad programs.

T--are you getting any aerobic exercise to calm that stress?

Yeah. I do a lot of cardio throughout the week to alleviate stress, but in between three nights of Community College classes and 5 APs.. also with college apps, I don't have much room.

Tlaktan, Hope you get a chance to read the post about being happy with the college you go to....Good article and I thought of you--every CC poster actually--when I read it.

I read it. Wonderful article. Makes me think twice about somethings I'm doing myself.

I think travelling is a great way for me to relieve some stress. I'm going on the Bowdoin fly-in this November (I just met Erby Mitchell, the Multicultural Recruiter).. and I'm trying to fly other opportunities to see America.. Since I'm year-round, my schedule is incredibly flexible in this regard..

If you like doing community service outdoors, the Student Conservation Corps would allow you to do community service in a national park for several weeks during the summer. The conservation corps pays for your housing and food. You just pay for transportation and equipment. Check their website.
