hi parents- i have a quick question that everyone seems to give a diff answer for. Im applying to RICE early, and they only require ONE teacher rec, however do people generally send in an extra rec and does RICE look down upon extra recs or expect them? FYI: this extra rec would come from a teacher who likes me very much and loves RICE (his son graduated from there.) Thanks so much!

The best people to ask are the admissions people at Rice. We had questions about recs and received different answers from different colleges' admission offices. I think it's best if you can get the answer in writing (email will do).
