I am interested in going to grad school and studying political science. I am interested in a few schools they are 1) Stanford 2) MIT 3)U of Chicago. I was wondering where I could find info on GPA ranges GRE ranges ETC. I am also wondering if as a social science program they weigh the verbal section of the gre heavier then the math. The reason I ask is on most my testing my verbal is off the charts where as my math is low. I am afraid I will bomb the math section of the GRE and wondering if they weigh one section heavier. Any statistics on these are other "top schools" would be appreciated.

I don't know about Stanford and Chicago, but I know that MIT Poli sci requires math so the math GRE is bound to count farily heavily. In general, Poli sci departments have become more and more math/stats oriented, especially since rational choice became popular. When I was in grad school, the first statistics course for social scientists was introduced and it was taught by a Pol sci Ph.D. from MIT.
