suggested ways for my son to list his ec, awards, etc? He is a Junior and we are preparing for early decision. He has a lot of "stuff" and needs to organize it in an appropriate and appealing manner. Thanks for your help.

Figure out what is the best "stuff" and pick an organizational plan that puts it on the top. So if he has national (or international!!) stuff, you could arrange geographically - int'l, nat'l, state/regional, local. Or if his best stuff is in one field, you could arrange topically - music, physics, theater, math. Or you could arrange chronologically, with most recent stuff at the top.
We used a grid for this. There are columns for name of award, grade when received, then something about it (1st in the US, or 1st in the school, whatever).
I think its important not to give them too much. I don't think it's reasonable to expect anyone to look at more than a page of "stuff", and even then they may not make it past the first few entries. That's why it's important to put the best stuff at the top and edit out lower priority stuff.
