Okay we all know Yale's Engineering school isnt highly ranked so what do you guys have to say about Yale's engineering is it good or bad?? Is it worth applying EA instead of applying ED to Cornell??what would you do??
Will a chemical engineering degree from Yale be less prestigious than one from lets say Cornell? Or will it be almost the same as one from lets say Princeton or Harvard??
Okay lets hear it

Varr,Don't worry so much about "prestige" Judge each school on its own merits. Decide which type of engineering interests you and compare "sub compartments" rather than the whole department. My son is very involved in engineering and was just deferred EA from Yale. Don't think it is so easy to get in. In addition, Yale is building a brand new engineering building, and the faculty is good. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Good advice to take a look at the area that interests you. Also take a look at internships students get and at their employment record. Prestige isn't important, but it's worth knowing how their grads do, who recruits, etc. You can usually find this info on either the career site or in the department itself. Engineers I know are extremely impressed by Cornell's engineering program and especially by the internship opportunities in the co-op program.
