I am filling out a Financial Aid Form for a prep school. My son just received an scholarship of $15,000 (each year in high school) from a foundation (one of the 50 kids from across USA) supporting his interest throughout high school based on his SAt 1, MIT research and 4.0 GPA and high level achivements in ECs.

My question is that do I have to contribute less towards my share of fees or do I have to pay my share and it will reduce school contribution. He needs this money for his research in MIT physics lab (An MIT professor has offered him a summer research position). In addition he will start taking some college level courses starting next summer. What will be the impact on his aid? Any help. Thanks
