For the 10 lines, I got 55, because it is 10+9+8+7+6+5+4+3+2+1.
What was the cos and sin one again?

yeah did anyone get those? they were wicked hard. i felt like this test was really easy, with a few questions that i had no clue to. there weren't many in between, for me at least.

For the lines one (I had no idea how to do it), I assumed (or did it say?) that none were parallel, so each line had to have been hit by 9 other lines (=10 total). The only answer choice that was a multiple of 9 was 45, so that's what I put.
For the sine of angle 1, I put that only angle 4 was equal to it.
For that question that had something like (6,m) and (m-1, 3) did anyone else put -.46?

Calidan, I also put that only the cos of angle 4 was equal to the sin of angle 1.
And I got -.46 on the m slope one as well.
I didn't do the lines one.
The test did seem quite easy, with the exception of a couple that were very difficult.

Yay! I hope I did well- I don't want to have to take it a THIRD time.
It really did seem like 90% of the questions were easy, but that 10% seemed really difficult. Practically NO moderate questions.
Did anyone do the lines one? I probably would have omitted it, but I decided not to omit anything and see how I do.

I should have guessed on the lines one, but I didn't have patience. I think, if you're very close, not omitting anything is a good idea. (at least if you have SOME logic behind your guessing)

For the angle question, I put that it was 2 and 4, because of complimentary angles and some other random geometry theorems.
I think i got -.46 but I'm not really sure.
I took the IIC today also, and I keep mixing up the two, but I think that the I was really easy and the II kicked my ass.
Is it true that the IC has a really really harsh curve compared to the IIC?

I got -.46 its definitely right because I tried out all the numbers..the loser way of doing it.

Yes. It's angles 2 and 4 or something because well 4 - I know that was vertical angles and it worked out, and the other, the two were complementary, and sin/cos are complementary to each other... that is, sin 30 = cos 60 (30 + 60 is 90, etc.. i just learned it in a "review" for ap calculus the other day)

I did horribly. I was only sure about like 40 of them. I didn't even have enough time to go back over all the questions I skipped.
I got a 660 on Math SAT I, so I really hope my SAT II score won't be horrible compared to it. I haven't had a math class since May.
What's the approx. conversion between SAT I and SAT II Math? SAT I scores should be higher in SAT II format, right?

Well, if it helps, I got a 700 SAT I Math and a 700 SAT II IC score. I also got a 750 SAT I Verbal and a 750 SAT II Literature score- crazy, eh? At first I thought I was looking at my SAT I scores all over again.

hey remember the octagon thing and the sum of the angles, was the answer 1080? 8-2(180)?
what about the thing with 2Y+X=4 thing
I was stuck between A and E, A was like mulitplyin the entire thing by 4 so you have 4Y+2X=16 or the negative thing which was -2Y-X=-4 or something I cant remember

What about that one with the cross (looked like a plus sign made out of squares) where you had to decide which number to put in the middle so that the vertical and horizontal sums were equal? Did anybody get seven?

1080 is right. it was tricky in that they had the answer for ONE of the interior angles, but u had to multiply 135 by 8.
next - 7 is right. remember, out of the numbers they gave us, one number has to be REPEATED - and since each row equals 43, the whole thing has to equal 86. so you have to see which number, when doubled and added together with the other numbers, will yield an 86.

or for the cross question, you could realize that all of the other numbers that were given were even except for the 7 and if you were adding and wanted an odd result, seven would HAVE to be in the middle.

I think that was one with only one solution.
You had to eliminate the ones that had the same slope as the one given in the equation (because they would be parallel and therefore, never touch). Two of the choices (E and A) had the same exact line equation when solved for y -- only one had one exact solution (an intersection) and unfortunately I forgot what it was... you just needed to plug into calculator for that question basically.
