I'm applying to transfer in the spring and am uncertain whether retaking the SAT would be beneficial. In high school I had a 670 V 640 M which didn't really correlate to my 4.0 unweighted GPA (all AP/ honors classes) and class rank (1 out of 100). Is it normal/acceptable to retake the test? It would be my 4th time sitting for the test, and I know 3 times is usually the reasonable cutoff.

Also, what about the ACT? I never took the test in highschool but was thinking that might be a better way to attempt to boost my board scores.

I just don't know what the protocol is for transferring and test scores. Maybe I should just stick with my 1310 and let my first year GPA of 3.97 speak for itself. Hmmm ... any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)

That depends in part on how competitive the school is that you want to transfer to. Have you checked out their stats? Your first year GPA is awesome, congrats.

The ACT is probably a better way to go if you want to boost your score after seeing what you need to have. But I'd imagine there'd be more weight on your great GPA than a test score.
