Hi, i'm taking the Writing comin saturday,
I have a doubt, i'm using Barron's and Kaplan and the essay topics are so different in both the books.shkin
for eg, Kaplan: "The greatest griefs are those we cause ourselves"
choose an example from history, current events, personal experience, literature or any other discipline and use this example to write an essay in which you agree or disagree with the above statement. Your essay should be specific.
and Barrons: "The russian poet Alexander once wrote "the most lasting social changes are those that result from gradual improvements rather than from violent upheaval"
Do you believe that Alexander's observation is valid? Write an essay in which you support or oppose Alexanders view, using evidence drawn from your studies, reading, personal observation or experience.
So WHICH TYPE SHOULD I EXPECT ON SATURDAY?!?!?

The essay on the one I took was like Kaplan's. Barrons looks more like an AP English argument essay, if you ask me.
