Discus: SAT/ACT Tests and Test Preparation: Not taking one of the 3 registered SAT II tests
By Auracon (Auracon) on Thursday, October 07, 2004 - 10:09 pm: Edit

Hey guys,

I registered for math IIc, english writing, and chemistry. But I dont know if I'm actually going to take the chem exam. Do you guys know if it's ok to just leave the test untaken on the test day and only complete the other two?

I thought if you signed up for 3 and left one blank all of them don't count because people cheated like that..

What if you switch a test? I know you can do that, but does it cost anything? I thought I read on here that it doesn't cost anything, but on Collegeboard it say's it's $19, but I'm not sure if that is for SAT II's. HELP plz.

Hmm, while I was taking the test today I believe the proctor announced that leaving all the ovals blank for one subject counts as a cancellation of all the subject tests you're taking that day.

Coz well, you either cancel one or cancel all. And leaving all the ovals blank is counted as a request to cancel.

I'm not too sure that's what he said.

Yeah, but if you don't fill in the bubble for that test, then it won't count. :/

By Wasabinow (Wasabinow) on Saturday, October 09, 2004 - 03:03 pm: Edit

O CRAP does that mean that the two test i took today wont count!!>!! omg I signed up for 3, but took 2 and left.... OMFG PLEASE NO

As long as you didn't start a third one and then decide the erase all your answers, Wasa, the first two will count.

my proctor said dont leave a test blank if you signed up for it, or theyll cancel all of your scores. Sorry wasabinow, but I think youre screwed. You could try editing your admission ticket today online, so that maybe collegeboard will think that you only signed up for two, but I dont know if thatll work.

By Primab (Primab) on Saturday, October 09, 2004 - 09:27 pm: Edit

You are dead wrong Piman. In june I signed up for 3 (writing, Math IC, and Spanish)-took only the first 2 and decided not to do Spanish. My score report had the 2 tests I did. No problem.

I did the same today. I signed up for 2 tests and took only one.

Wasabinow-do not worry!!! It's fine and I am living proof.

Piman3141 - Its not fair to freak people out just because you don't fully understand what you're talking about. Don't tell someone they're screwed unless you know what you're talking about.

Wasabinow - When people tell you you're screwed, consider going to the College Board website, which contains all the information about this, and looking it up yourself. Its bound to be more reliable than an internet messageboard. You're not screwed. Primab and others were right. You don't need to edit your admission ticket or try to 'trick' the CB into thinking you only signed up for two. You followed CB protocol and none of your tests will be cancelled.

Just give college board a call if you're really worried. Then you get a definite answer rather than a bunch of "I think's."

i think youre all screwed.
