College Discussion Forums: SAT/ACT Tests and Test Preparation: URGENT PSAT QUESTIONS!!
By Vinny919 (Vinny919) on Thursday, October 07, 2004 - 09:13 pm: Edit

Ok, so I have Kaplan's PSAT 2005. I took all the tests in it and did most of the workbook kind of things. What mostly helps me though is practice tests. When I took the SAT my soph year last May, doing all the 10RS made my score up like 150 points. So, I'm wondering what books to get! Should I rush order the CB book so that I can have it by Monday and work through it fall break? The only negatives to this is that it's $40 instead of $13 if I get it from www.borders.com and that I'll be using tests so that I can't take them in March since I'll probably remember them and thus get a biased score.

Or, should I get just the Barron's PSAT book which has 7 tests, the Kaplan SAT book for the 7 tests in there, or use the PR 11 SATs book? What books should I get and how should I go about practicing (like should I take one test a day or what)?? It's very important to me to do well on the PSAT (i.e. I want to get NMS) Thanks in advance so much guys.

YOU should study whenever you have time, I used PR book for the new PSAT, that was quite good except for a few errors which you'll catch easily enough. I also used kaplan's math review and verbal review as well as barron's writing 2 for the writing section. good luck
