AHHHHHHHH I AM SO EXCITED! I took a practice today just for math and got a 790. Man I am hoping for an 800 in Math soooooooo bad! Even if I get like a 720-730 verbal, I HAVE TO GET AN 800 MATH! lol

Damn it, must study now. It'll be SUCH a relief to sit on my ass ALL day Saturday after the test. Just slouch in front of the TV with a smile on my face. But only if I kick the SAT's ass, only if I win.

paul, on the real sat iis book the min curve for a 750 was translated as a 86 raw score. that is 3.43 times ur essay plus ur mc raw. i guess the key is to have a perfect essay to mitigate the pressure on the mcs. good luck

If I am not mistaken, the two extremes for a 750 are as follows:

1) Perfect essay (12) plus at least 48 mc correct
2) Perfect MC (60 correct) plus at least 8 points on the essay

Since either of them is highly unlikely, I'm trying to get at least a 10 on the essay, and at least 53 correct on the multiple choice.

ok i got a 1260 (700 M, 560 V) in may, practiced all summer and got a 1430 (790 M, 640 V) last week on a practice test... i pray that i can do that again!

i am counting on luck b/c i had no time to study, hopefully i can bump it up with luck and i heard that if i eat a boiled egg every morning and sleep with the study guide on my left forehead, it'll help, i have been doing that for the past month and i also haven't had a haircut since may, i believe that'll increase my brain activity . AHHHHH MUST NOT MISS THE #25 on MC and #15 on QC for MATH! MUST GET 800!!!! NOT 780!!!! Practice tests have all been 780, 790, 780, 790 Math! PLEASE 800 PLEASE 800 PLEASE 800 PLEASE 800!!!!

For Verbal just a 700+, that's all I want. Let me miss 5 Verbal and I will be happy. Pray that I know almost all of the words on there....and that the reading comprehension comes naturally.

Last Time: 1320 (690M, 630V)

WORKED HARD TO GET AND HOPE I GET: 1500+ (800M, 700+ V)

I have no goal for verbal because I'm really just hoping it won't go down significantly from my 780 last March.

For math, which I scored 650 on, I know I can do it now. I worked at it for the last few months, and I know I know everything on the test, but like a lot of people here, it's the mistakes that I'm terrified of. That, and freaking out during the test and running out of time. I'll be satisfied with 720, but if I know I can get 800, I'd like to be a bit closer to my potential.

Last time I got a 770 Verbal and a 660 Math. I just managed my first 800 on a math practice test last night after repeated 750-790's. Verbal I almost always max so I'm just hoping I'm able to stay calm and avoid stupid mistakes. If so I'll reach my goal.

hmm. i took a practice test today, and got a 1310, and the funny part is that i didn't even try. for example, in the math, i just kinda gave up, and starting talking to some other people who were also taking the test about stuff....

also, i didn't try my hardest on the passages...didn't even bother reading most of it, and guessed on the answers because i was pretty sick of taking the stupid test....

so hopefully, if i try 100% tomorrow, i get that 1400!

700+ writing...frankly i'm sick of this crap! I've been finding grammar errors all day long for a whole week and writing useless 20 min. "essays."

I'll probably kill myself if i get lower than 700, cuz that would mean i'll have to study for it again in november and retake it.

Bleh. I took a practice test tonight after two days' break. I tracked my ten real practice tests for math, and I always did worse on the days when I took a two day break. So, my 720 isn't so bad right now. When I take a test with a one or zero day break after a bad two-day-break test, I've always gone back up to what I know I can do (770-800). We'll see. I'm just...I don't want to run out of time, and I don't want to mess up, and I know everyone else feels exactly the same way.

It helps to think of the test as insignificant, but at the same time I know that if I absolutely demolish it tomorrow, then I'll be in a much better position for winning local scholarships and merit aid from schools, as well as being admitted.
