More than twice??!! Damn it.

I thought 3 was the general accepted amount of times befor it looked bad...

When did you all take it three times? I took it once in 9th grade, once 10th grade, and once 11th grade (and improved every time)...do they still count that as taking it three times during junior year?

That's interesting... I'd always heard 3 was the way to go.

By Vtran31 (Vtran31) on Wednesday, October 06, 2004 - 01:25 am: Edit

well using hyperbole. sorta. just saying the fact that scores fluxate on people, especially high scorers that plan on going to Yale, and penalizing people for taking the test multiple times, is retarded.

By Aim78 (Aim78) on Wednesday, October 06, 2004 - 01:35 am: Edit

The fact that he uses the word "stange" to describe such people is stupid in itself. People who set goals and accomplish them are strange? Hey, YOU'RE the ones that ask for this test, not us.

Maybe the quote is made up. Colleges usually do not express such extreme opinion about SAT tests to the public. All colleges I've read about say that they'll consider the best score you've got. Do you think the quote is true?

By Yz16 (Yz16) on Saturday, October 09, 2004 - 08:06 am: Edit

hum, 'we think they're strange, frankly' ?

iffy.

perhaps it just means that three is the absolute limit before the eyebrows start going up, in which case most people should be fine.
