I am really having trouble with the short critical reading sections on the new PSAT practice tests. Last year, with the analogies and long critical reading sections, i always broke 700.
Now, practicing for the new PSAT my math score, which has never surpassed 700 has ranged from 70 to 78 and my writing score is well above 70. For critical reading, however, my practice test scores have been 70, 66, 68. I rarely get any sentence completion questions wrong, and very few from the long critical reading sections. I think I might just be thinking too hard and spending too much time on the short CR questions questions.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
