Step 1: Buy Birdsall Viault's "Modern European History" (it's basically a review guide... about 400 pgs. long).

Step 2: Read it.

Basically, if you do that and can write well, you're set.

Is anyone using the textbook written by Hunt?

From someone who got a 5 on the AP exam, and most likely got 100% on last years AP multiple choice, read "A History of Western Society" by McKay/Hill/Buckler. Now this is a full textbook, but it is amazing. If you know this book hands down, the AP exam will be a breeze.

Yeah, Western Civilization is what I used...I would always recommend a prep book in addition to a textbook. All texts, in general, are good.

The European History test wasn't bad. The essays were a joke last year. My knowledge regarding euro history is quite limited, and I got a 5 on the exam due to good bullsh*tting.

A review book is really all you need. Learn the key figures and art movements.

I killed the test sophomore year.
