What are the best prep books for the SAT II Spanish and also for the AP test? Any test-taking strategies or hints?

"Any test-taking strategies or hints?"

Yeah. Bubble in the correct answer.

I like Barron's for AP. I've heard Cliffs Notes is good too.

If you're talking about AP Spanish Language, my tips...

1) Try to be as alert as possible. Honestly...it was the first test I took during the AP weeks and I couldn't handle the long boring narratives for more than a minute before I started just assuming answers for questions.
2) Don't forget your "normal" tape recorder and bring extra batteries. A girl during my test completely freaked out because she brought one of those mini-recorders...(bad idea!)
3) Practice telling stories. If you haven't already seen the "story-board-like" pictures you have to use on the test, start practicing with them. In my class, we went over a lot of transition words (luego, ect) and eventually started talking to the walls to get used to the time limit and unresponsiveness of a tape recorder =)

I managed a 4 on the test. Probably could have done better if my school was a little more organized and didn't allow that horrid test drag on from 9am to almost 3pm. *blahh*

Yea, definitely go into the test knowing that it is one of the longest AP tests. At my school, it went from 8:30 until 2:00. I took notes to keep my attention on the narratives (the long narratives are brutally long...) My AP teacher wasn't the greatest, so I had to make her make the students buy the Barron's book and it got 3 of us (out of 7) a 5. (2 native speakers and 1 non-native) Barron's does a good job of showing you all the test questions, IMO. But then again, I'm infatuated with Barron's.
