im confused, people say the new sat starts in 2005, but that the 2006 class takes it.

The lasts that colleges accept SAT's is usually January. The new SAT doesn't come out 'til March so there's no point in taking it unless you are going to transfer after a semester and feel you wanna get it out of the way now.

it does start in 2005 but it starts in March of 2005

The new test will be given for the first time in March '05. Students graduating high school in '05 will be okay with either the old or the new at any college they apply to. For students graduating in '06 and after, it depends on the school: some will accept either, while others accept only the new.

it will not be possible to take the new sat for 05 people if they want to start their edu. next year
