I know that a Honors or Advanced Or AP is a 5.00 and u just average them all up with your other classes and u got ur weighted. But I see people posting that they have like 15.00 GPA's or whatever. So I was hoping someone could explain that. Thanks

___REG___HN___AP
A 4 5 6
B 3 4 5
C 2 3 4
D 1 2 3
F 0 1 2
It mostly depends on the school on how GPA or QPA is computer.

You get 6s for AP classes? I hope colleges are aware of that and don't just let some kid plug your gpa into a formula and deliver the result to the adcoms.

yeah but how does that explain the 15.00's? And my school only gives 5's on APS and honors/adv. that's why most (good) colleges have their own weighting system.

most colleges dont even take weighted grades. usually they stick wit nonweighted grades to put everyone on the same playing field. i mean, how can a 4.9 gpa beat a guy wit a 9.486?
