i think the title speaks very well for itself.

math - im fine.
verbal - im just going to study the old verbal stuff, screw the smaller reading passages. ill just wing those.
writing.........problem here. ive never actually studied grammer, just picked it up i guess.
should i buy a book on the whole PSAT or just the writing portion...
also, should i wait until other books come out? right now, its basically just the PR and Kaplan

buy an SATII writing book

By Cheershopgrl (Cheershopgrl) on Sunday, July 11, 2004 - 09:15 pm: Edit

Yeah, buy an SAT II writing book. Also, review a lot of grammar.
Review when to use
; : or ,
subject/verb agreements,
pronoun use-he, him, she, her, they, them, me, I, etc.
Parallel construction
Idiom use
when to use who/whom
Logical Comparisons

Review some of these concepts and you should be okay.

BTW-I've noticed many ppl on CC spell grammar "grammer" Just to let everyone now, it's G-R-A-M-M-A-R

$1000? The scholarship I got from it was closer to 100,000 (92,000). I didn't study for it, but if I had known I could get ALL my college paid for, I prolly would have.

Yeah, the PSAT is worth it to study for. I'll be a junior, too. I got a 207 last year so this year I'm hoping to get in the running for NMSQT

do PSAT matter in any way to college admissions? or is it just a preview to the upcoming new SAT I?

By Vermicelli (Vermicelli) on Wednesday, July 14, 2004 - 06:43 pm: Edit

PSAT has nothing to do with college admissions

By Studyguy346 (Studyguy346) on Wednesday, July 14, 2004 - 09:44 pm: Edit

how did u get 92,000 from taking the PSATs? I thought the National Merit Scholarship was 1,000 per person?
