I scored 1520 (800M, 720V) on my SAT I in my first sitting.
I scored these in my first sitting of SAT IIs:
770 Math IIC (83%)
750 Chem (89%)
720 Writing (85%)
3.8 UW, 10% in class
I plan to apply to the following schools for engineering:
Penn State
Rutgers
Lehigh
Carnegie Mellon
Cornell (ED)
Johns Hopkins
Tufts
UPenn
Cooper Union
Columbia
So as you can see, I'm basically like every other applicant academically. For engineering, should I retake my 770 Math IIC? I know I can get an 800 but I don't know if it's worth the trouble. 800 is only 90th percentile so I get the feeling that an 800 is "expected" for engineers.
And what about my Writing? I scored a 7 on the essay portion and still pulled off a 720. Is that good enough for Cornell Engineering?

I think it is in the wrong category...it should be in "What are the chances?"

Well this question isn't about my chances at the schools, but specifically whether my SAT IIs should be retaken. I do see your point, though.
