If you go to the College Board site and look up AP exams, there is a link to "AP prep" which takes you to something called "Apex Learning's Online Exam Review", which costs $39. Does anyone have any experience with this? It sounds like it uses actual questions from prior AP exams, unlike review books (College Board must have given them the exclusive rights or something). Anyway, is this any good? Would there be time to go through it in the 8 weeks left before AP exams?

I took the course last year for AP US History, and I took a few practice tests and scored a 5! I think the best way to prepare is to take notes on the course (watch the lesson once just for a primer, then watch again, to distill the facts...).

But then again, the bad thing is that it costs money! (last year my school paid for all the courses, but now it is in a deficit, and cut funding ...

Ooh, too bad about the cut in funding.

Actually I wasn't asking about the full course (it's like hundreds of dollars). I just meant the $39 exam review.

TEXAS137, I was talking about the review course, the school paid for it (gave an id number).....

Oh, great! Thanks! Is 8 weeks long enough to go through the whole thing?

Call me college, thank you very much!!!! I can't afford expensive prep. books, and this is a life saver! Also, can you only sign up for 3 ap review classes? I made up my name and said that I was from a school in San Diego... When they asked for the phone number, I gave the number of the school... It says online that it takes 1-2 days to process. Do you think there will be any problem? Thank you very much!

i signed up for all of the them, just for the heck of it, and encountered no problems...just check back in a couple of days.

What name did you use and what school? For some reason it won't let me register. It keeps saying that the service is not available to me. I used a school and name but it still doesn't work.

If I already have my school's name and enrollment code, can I order these prep classes?

By Futuredoctor (Futuredoctor) on Tuesday, March 18, 2003 - 05:13 pm: Edit

Yes, you should be fine, mine worked just fine (look up a school on google, and for your address put the school's address and phone number... In about 2 days, you will receive confirmation and you can access the course (just follow the instructions!)

I can log in now but everytime I try to go to my AP review class it asks for me to log in again. Everytime I do, for some reason, it won't let me log in. Does anyone else have this problem where the second time you log in it doesn't work?

By Kalitiha (Kalitiha) on Thursday, March 20, 2003 - 03:28 pm: Edit

cuz you lied and they know it

By Eurostar (Eurostar) on Thursday, March 20, 2003 - 07:49 pm: Edit

By Kalitiha (Kalitiha) on Thursday, March 20, 2003 - 08:00 pm: Edit

well, i don't really know why....everytime i login to my Apex classes, i only have to login once....it never asks me to do it again unless i've timed out

Heres what happens: (Maybe someone can help)

I first log in at the ucgateways.com site

It goes to a fairly blank screen where it immediately redirects to a new page

Right here is when it asks to enter username and pw.

But on the left it says:
"If you are a UCCP student, do not login below. Click "Head Straight to Class" to get started."

But there is nothing on this page that says head straight to class.

I remember the first time I tried to get in there was something that said that and I got in, but now there's not. Am I missing something? Do I not see it? Someone who has it working please tell me step by step what happens when you log in. I know it's not a big deal but for me it is. Instead of paying $39 it is FREE.

If anyone can help I will appreciate it.

Try to create a new account, they do not check the account, but follow the directions this time, perhaps you entered an invalid email, etc, (enter your email, but everything else should be fake...)

Good Luck
