I'm currently studying for the AP Bio test that I am going to take in march and have not yet touched my sat II bio book yet (taking the test in june). I have the Cliffs AP bio book and i'm trying to memorize it completely, but also have Kaplans AP book as a cross reference. I hear a lot of people say I should pay extra attention to plants and hormones b/c they are a big section. Is this true and should I even bother studying for the Sat II bio because I already studied for the AP Bio test? I am hoping for a 5 so any other advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I was wondering myself how much human anatomy and ecology would be on it...since my class is only on ch. 25 of 50...

i took the sat three yrs ago and the ap last year, but don't remember much human anatomy on either, beyond maybe identifying the nephron, or something. I think there were more q's about IDing the parts of the body where certain things are done. it's a good idea to study plants & hormones. know the significance of various processes/cycles.

the ap... er... yeah, ecology was on it. One for the part 2, maybe 2 or 3 in part 1.

i don't think you should worry too much about sat2 if u already studied for the ap; i remember the sat2 was much easier than the ap cuz for the sat2 i just looked at a barron's book the night before the test. watch out for the time limits.

Anyway, get offline and go back to studying. :o)

Well, the 2001 test had a lot to do with organ systems. Your teacher should have a syllabus with breakdown percentages on how much each area is covered. It varies from year to year.

For last year's June Bio SAT II, there was a wide variety of topics. A good 10 questions on RNA synthesizing, classes of organisms, heart diagram, all kinds of stuff. It wasn't too hard; I got a 710 and was in 9th grade.

I thought last year's Bio SAT II was horrible. The reason I got my 790 was because I studied on my own. Our school does ecology during the last week of the year, but there were like 10 questions on biomes and classification. However, since I was in Honors at the time, I'm assuming that with an AP background it shouldn't be that difficult.
