I'm going to apply to University of Michigan, Univ. of Maryland, College Park, Ohio State, and Univ. of Pittsburgh in the fall of '03. I'm taking the ACT in april and june and I was just wondering what scores I should shoot for. My GPA is high and my ECs are good...just tryin' to cover the last base here. Whats ur input?

I was told that 30 is the magic score.

24-26 is moderate but not great
27-29 is pretty good for most of those
30-33 is very good and very likely
33-36 is a guarantee for all
now this is just from what i have heard from my counselor...but i think this is fairly accurate

Supposedly they use a point system. You need 100 points to get in. The top SAT score only gets you 20 points. A gpa of 4.0 gets you 80. Supposedly...
