Hey! This year I took US History 1, which only covers through reconstruction. Is is possible for me to self-study US History 2 (I plan on taking AP next year) and get a good (750+) score? Thanks a lot.

Yeah, get 2 books. Get the PR AP book, and get Barron's SAT II U.S History book. The PR book is perfect for an overview of everything, and the Barron's book is much more in depth. Read both of the reviews. I read most of the Barron's review a day before the test and got a 770.

I heard Sparknotes helps immensely for SAT II U.S. History. I need a 750+ SAT II score for my application, so I decided to take this exam. (I am a senior next year). I heard Barron's doesn't focus much on social history, which accounts for 35% of the exam.
