My friend claims to have gotten 790 V and 760 M, and I see no reason that he would be lying... but in looking at the scores of other posters here, I've noticed none of you seem to have gotten 760 M... was this part of the curve?

I doubt 760 would be part of the score, just because I got a 750 and rarely do the math scores decrease by 10 when its a matter of 2-3 questions wrong. I could be totally off though.

With the different combinations of omits and wrongs, he may well have gotten a 760. I know people who have gotten them on other tests, but not this one in particular.

I think it went down like this:

800 780 750 740.. etc etc

No 760; I got 1 wrong and had 780, a friend got 2 wrong and had 750.

Renegade-- Isn't it possible that, like... getting 1 wrong and skipping 1 could give you a 760 then? Or like, skipping 2? (I'm not sure if this is what he did).

Getting 2 wrong is the same as skipping 2 because they round 1/2 up. If Renegade's friend wasn't lying, then there was no 760.

Well, I talked to him yesterday and he said he was "just kidding" and that he actually got a 1490... 790 M/700 V..

I missed 2 questions and got a 750, so there probably is no 760. Little liar. I'm pissed about that curve. I want a nicer curve cus I'm definately better at math than a stupid 750!

this site is so lame. especially this post. why do you care? and FYI gumby: the only reason people are responding is not because they actually care about your "crisis," it is because this is the perfect opportunity to brag about how they got a 780 not a 760.

Chidimma: I had the same thing, I thought it was an awfully harsh math curve.

And Abs0lut--I wasn't angry at him or anything, I don't really care all that much about his score... I just thought it was odd because I hadn't seen anyone on the board with a 760 M.
