Hey, so how'd you guys do? I did just about as well as I expected. I was kinda hoping for an 800, but I'm still VERY elated with my 780

760- I'm happy, but I actually thought I did better

540-pathetic. Feel like throwing myself out the window. How did you guys prep? Is it going to make me look bad if I retake it in the fall? what do colleges do if I took two same SAT IIs? Average them or take the highest score?

I AM SO SCREWED...--^

800 (99%)

I prepped by being in the class, taking notes on all of the chapters in the American Pageant textbook, reading those notes several times througout the year (once for mid terms, once for AP test, once for SAT IIs and, of course, before the chapter tests in school).

I didn't expect to do so well but I guess I just knew the right things. The AP test, however, was not so forgiving.

I think they take the highest. I also took the SAT II in US History in May, and got a lousy 670. I prepped by reading SparkNotes, doing all 8 of their tests, and improved 110 points in June to 780.

760. I am happy, don't get me wrong, but was expecting a bit higher as I felt I knew everything on the test. I prepared by taking AP US history and PR SAT II and doing both tests in that book. I got 690 on the first practice and 790 on 2nd practice.

730... I got a 750 on the one practice test I took, and I took the AP in may and expect a 5, so yes I'm satisfied.

700 Flat. No in-school US History training, took a Community College course on it a while ago. (a year and a half ago).. Went in with 1 day of training from PR, combined with World and Writing.

didn't take AP class just regular honors and i would like to blame it on the lazy teacher who was still on the 1930's 2 weeks ago when we were supposed to be on the 1070's but overall i think i should have just practiced more. i thought i would get at least a 750 but i guess not. retaking it next year

770.
I studied for about 1 day before the test (crammed my butt off with Barrons Sat II USH). I also took an AP class, but I never really took notes in it or paid much attention. I had crammed the day before the AP test as well (with PR's AP book).

I did, however, take 2 practice tests- the first one said I got a 640 (sparknotes online), the second one (a real sat II) 730.

I'd like to retake for the 800, but I don't think 30 pts. is gonna make much difference for college admissions.

Is it worth retaking?

By Briansee (Briansee) on Thursday, June 17, 2004 - 08:18 pm: Edit

740 from cramming during AP tests. I was pleasantly surprised.

By Netmet (Netmet) on Thursday, June 17, 2004 - 08:33 pm: Edit

Mr. Besch, don't retake. 770 is completely fine at Ivies and on a test like USH, your score is less likely to go up then if lets say, you took chem sat 2 and then take ap chem NEXT year. So, be elated with your 770! it's great
