I was contemplating signing up for this course over the summer but i just had very little information about it. Have any of you guys ever taken the course? I would just like to know basically if its like American or European History, except about art? Any insight would be appreciated.

social and historical content has acquired a new significance according to collegeboard, and yes, the course is focused around the major events of europe and america, however, the history is used primarily to aid in telling why or how the work was created the way it was

i took this at CC my freshmen year. the class related to european history A LOT. it was also really easy...but it depends on the time period and the teacher, etc.

I took AP Art History this year, and am anticipating my AP test next week... I have worked like crazy for this class because our teacher expects us to make flash cards with the images from our textbook (Gardner's Art Through the Ages), which total about 1000. If you have a true interest in Art History, and are very dedicated to your academic interests, you will enjoy this class... and become infected with what my teacher refers to as "smarty pantsism." Hope this helps.
