what does your percentile say? is everybody's the same or does it depends on how much did u miss?

By Daniel_Lim_Ym (Daniel_Lim_Ym) on Thursday, June 17, 2004 - 04:38 pm: Edit

Hey, I got 90 percentile. What was yours?

By Student8712 (Student8712) on Thursday, June 17, 2004 - 04:38 pm: Edit

90th for everyone

By Simei (Simei) on Thursday, June 17, 2004 - 04:58 pm: Edit

yeah i got 90% too...so it's the same for everyone? cuz at first i was a little shocked...

By Jrpar (Jrpar) on Thursday, June 17, 2004 - 04:59 pm: Edit

780 is 85th percentile.

By Aim78 (Aim78) on Thursday, June 17, 2004 - 05:05 pm: Edit

Oh my lord, I can't believe it. I hit 800. No percentile though. I had no confidence whatsoever, but I made it. I love that curve.

By Simei (Simei) on Thursday, June 17, 2004 - 05:17 pm: Edit

oh...and since 800 in iic is only 90%, would colleges value it as much? or is it good to take ic and try to get a 800 on that one as well?

By Npatrick6 (Npatrick6) on Thursday, June 17, 2004 - 05:20 pm: Edit

Oh so everyone with an 800 has a 90th percentile regardless of raw score?

I thought mine was just 90th since my raw score was at the low end of the 800 range and I got an 800 by the skin of my teeth.

Awesome.

By Hertish (Hertish) on Thursday, June 17, 2004 - 05:22 pm: Edit

mine is 790 and 87%

By Cellest882000 (Cellest882000) on Thursday, June 17, 2004 - 05:23 pm: Edit

hey all you that got 800 how many did you miss/omit...my scores arent comming up today for one reason or another....

By Simei (Simei) on Thursday, June 17, 2004 - 06:09 pm: Edit

i dunno...i think i might have "omitted" one b/c i only had time to bubble half the bubble, and i wasn't sure about anothe problem so i might have missed it...accorind to CC discussions i didn't miss anything else, but who knows

By Mesotired9 (Mesotired9) on Thursday, June 17, 2004 - 06:16 pm: Edit

Cellest... I omitted 3, and didn't find any that I knew were wrong for sure. My guess is I missed 1-2.

By Aim78 (Aim78) on Thursday, June 17, 2004 - 06:45 pm: Edit

Colleges value IIC highly. Many schools require it.

By Frogman9595 (Frogman9595) on Thursday, June 17, 2004 - 07:49 pm: Edit

Any other guesses as to the curve? Anyone with 800's think they know what they missed/omitted? My scores aren't coming up either and I think I was right on the 800 borderline. :(

By Kewlkiwi102 (Kewlkiwi102) on Thursday, June 17, 2004 - 07:57 pm: Edit

5 omit, 1 wrong. so a 44 was still an 800.

By Briansee (Briansee) on Thursday, June 17, 2004 - 08:02 pm: Edit

I skipped 3, but I think I got the rest right, and I got 90% also.

By Goonberg (Goonberg) on Thursday, June 17, 2004 - 08:49 pm: Edit

I omitted 5 as well, maybe 1 wrong, but from the forums I don't think I missed any.

So 44-45 raw = 800

By Scorp (Scorp) on Thursday, June 17, 2004 - 09:49 pm: Edit

is a 700 in Math IIC considered a decent score? Or do colleges just scoff at that? (I'm not talking about HYPS.) Say, would Johns Hopkins respect a score like that?

By Athlonmj (Athlonmj) on Thursday, June 17, 2004 - 09:50 pm: Edit

3 omit 1 wrong, 46 raw = 800.

By Adidasty (Adidasty) on Thursday, June 17, 2004 - 10:00 pm: Edit

yeah is 700 in Math IIC a good score? I am really good at math, and i only missed 1 that i know of on the IIC, the only reason I got a 700 is because Im not that fast, so I omitted like 9-10. but is 700 a good score for that test?

By Npatrick6 (Npatrick6) on Friday, June 18, 2004 - 06:10 am: Edit

I know I omitted 7 (because I took too long on the first 40 questions and ran out of time) and got 1 wrong. My guess is 41.75 = 42 raw = 800. I may have even gotten as low as 41 raw.

After walking out of that test... I seriously considered cancelling. But I knew I got pretty much everything I did answer right, so I decided to let the scores go through. I thought I still had a chance of barely getting an 800.

Looking back, I'd say it was a good choice...
