Can anyone who took the AP statistics test please tell me what you thought of it. What were the most things on it? What should I study most to be in good shape and please post your score on the exam.
Thanks

I took the Stats exam in May '02.

To me, it was a very difficult test- I'm not the best at math though. Make sure you know how to use your calculator! It'll be your best friend on the exam. As I recall, don't worry about Type I/Type II errors, which is what I was concerned about- they weren't on there at all. Most of the test was just knowing which probability test to use in which situation (Z-Test, T-Test, etc), which I didn't really remember.

I got a 3 on the test and was rather surprised, because I felt pretty good about the test after I took it. Don't take it lightly; despite the negative attitude many people seem to have about the test, it's far from the cakewalk people make it out to be.

If you want to get some easy Calc credit though, take the AP BC test- I got a 1 on it and answered very few questions correctly but I got a 3 on the AB subscore, and that got me a Calc I credit... using it to place into Calc II might be a bad idea, but if it'll get you out of the math requirement altogether, it's an easy way to do it.

themoose07:

Did you even take AB or BC classes before taking the AP test?

The class I took was called AP calc BC, but if you sat in the class, you'd understand my score. We didn't even finish the AB material, let alone start on the 'C' calculus. All in all, I wasn't disappointed with my 1, because I expected it, but I was pleasantly surprised with the sub AB 3.

If I'm taking first and second semester in a college Statistics class, will I know everything on the AP Stat test? I'm a HS senior right now. We're are doing Types of Regression models right now, just finished with the chi-squared test statistic.......are either of these on the AP test?
