I'd like to create a list of some universal examples from literature, history, and the arts that can be used in the writing section. I think that having examples in my mind before I get to the test wil make me feel more comfortable.
When i speak of examples, i mean things so chock full of "stuff" that they could be applied to practically any essay question in some way. Something like Shakespeare's Hamlet.
thanks

how about we classify the essay writing prompts, and have separate examples for each? Hamlet can't possibly cover every prompt...
examples:
innovation/revolution prompts
courage/best experience prompts
etc etc...

Sigh...
I'm so worried that I'm not going to be able to think of anything when the time comes. Anyway, I've been studying American History for the SAT II on the same day, so I find that many things apply to what they're asking.
I don't want to use two history examples, but if that's what it comes to I'm just going to have to.

Huckleberry Finn, I can probably use that book to answer any essay question.
To Kill a Mockingbird
Catcher in the Rye
The Scarlet Letter
are all good
