Last June, I took it and got a 560 (I know its horrible). I just realized that one reason may have been because I never took a pre-calculus course. I want to take 2C though because I want to be an engineer. In 9th grade, I took geometry. In 10th, I took Algebra 2/Trignometry. I 11th, I am taking CALC ABAP.
Stuff on the test like polar coordinates and Heron's area formula, I had no idea what they were. Guess I can self-learn those over the summer. Any other advice on how to improve? I am using Barron's IIC book. I know its harder than the real one. On its diagnostic test, I got "above average" (I dont know what that means because there was no score conversion).

above average is excellent in my opinion - i took many barron's practice tests and got above average or average on most of them... and i got an 800 on the MIIC test, so i think you should do great
you're right, the test focuses almost completely on precalculus, so you will do well if you study from the barron's book - remember though that you can leave about 6 blank and still get an 800 so don't worry if there's a concept or two that you don't understand

Thanks. But how did you get an 800 with above average ratings. I get above average but I still do poorly. Was barrons the only book you used?

yeah, barrons was the only book I used.. but I took precalculus for two years also (9th and 10th grade.. different levels) so I was more prepared in that way. Maybe you can go to a math teacher and ask for a precalculus book and look through that as well if you have a lot of time

Yeah, it was mostly precalc and trig stuff. Heron's f-la and polar graphing? WHAT IN THE BLUE WORLD? I DIDN'T HAVE ANY OF THAT STUFF ON IIC AND I DON'T EVEN REMEMBER THAT STUFF -- IT WAS LIKE LOOOONG 2 YEARS AGO. That's crazy dude. I am glad I got a nice, easy 800 test on my first attempt. Phew..

At least you knew it at one time. I never learned it and I have no idea what they are.

Right now, I have not much idea either. I completely forgot. My best guess is that polar coordinates was that stuff with radians and theta. It was like graphing functions using radian angle measure or something.
Heron's f-la sounds familiar, but i cant remember. is it something used to find area?

Can you really leave about 6 blank and still get an 800 ?? If that's truth, I want ot kill myself. I left 3 blank, and I thought I would got less than 750 so I cancled it. How about Physics, what the row point you need to get for 750.

rsk, what were you thinking? Yes, 6 or sometimes 7 blank will still get you an 800. The curve for physics is also pretty generous. I think you can get about 64-65 out of 75 and still get 800.
ya, heron's formula is for finding the area of a triangle when you know the length of the sides.
