This is not a question for me, for i prefer that sat but for a friend who's computer is not functioning as of now.
He wants to know roughly what his score would be for the english part if he answered 69 out of the 75 questions correctly. I have been looking around the web for him and have found nothing. Can anyone help?

my prediction is 31. Let me know what he actually got, once u guys know the real score.

alright.. just curious how did you convert it to that? And also is that a good score for him if it was his first time ever looking at an act, let alone taking it.

thx

In my Sparksnotes ACT book, 69 correct English responses on both tests equals a 31 scaled score.
In my ACT for Dummies, 69 is a 30. It could be different for the real thing. I don't know what percentile a 31 is, but my 32 was a 98%.

28-31 depending on the scale (different for each test)

Has everyone's results come through the mail yet?

hey thanks for the help.. now im going to the oppurtunity to improvise on the question a bit: so according to you guys.. the most alloted incorrects on the english is around 7 to score 30.. now what about for the other 3 sections.. How many wrong are you allowed to get to stay 30 or above

Number of probems one can miss and still stay at 30 or above in my SparkNotes ACT book:

Math ~9 (51 raw)
Reading ~6 (34 raw)
Science ~5 (35 raw)
English ~8 (67 raw)

Yeah, Jwood's info sounds good. I got the 31 from the practice ACT test conversion chart.
