By Shaka (Shaka) on Saturday, May 29, 2004 - 03:21 pm: Edit

i just took that real subject tests book's math 2c test...i got 800 on that

but i don't know if this is a good prediction of my score this june? I got like...mid 600s in barron's tests and low 700s in kaplan, PR, and sparknotes tests

what do you guys think? what is your experience with the real subjects tests book? did it predict your score accurately?

By Skiowad (Skiowad) on Saturday, May 29, 2004 - 05:04 pm: Edit

I've never taken satII's, but for the SATI, it was almost exactly accurate. Barron's do tend to be much harder than the real exam and the other review books aren't always so great. You should do fine on the real thing.

By Shaka (Shaka) on Saturday, May 29, 2004 - 05:13 pm: Edit

on my writing test i had 68 for raw score MC...which is very close to the 67 i got as raw score on the real subject tests book..

what about the math 2c test?

By Shaka (Shaka) on Saturday, May 29, 2004 - 07:09 pm: Edit

it's strange...i got alot of confidence built up after i took that real one this morning, i took a sparknotes one and got 800...i usually get low 700s...

Well,

It is the REAL SAT II test. If its not accurate, then I don't know what is.

By Shaka (Shaka) on Saturday, May 29, 2004 - 09:31 pm: Edit

how about the people that took both the real SAT2 test...and the REAL sat2 test which counted? lol

how did your scores compare?

By Erics123 (Erics123) on Saturday, May 29, 2004 - 11:06 pm: Edit

Math IIc

"Real" - 780
Real - 800

cool, anyone else?

Take the Real SAT II Book with a grain of salt. They publish that book with the easiest tests given so that people buy the book, take the test, score well on the test, and are tempted to sign up for a real test. College Board and ETS are all about making money, so by providing the public with the easiest test they've written, they get more people to sign up.

Also, Shaka, I'm impressed that you got 68 on the Writing MC considering there are only 60 questions on the test.

68 is subscore, smart one...get to know the test before you attempt to ridicule me

By Krbxtigerz (Krbxtigerz) on Sunday, May 30, 2004 - 11:59 am: Edit

"real" - i think i got like 780
Actual test - 790 (pissed about it but not retaking it...it's a waste of time to retake it)
good luck!!

lookin good so far...

anyone to disprove this trend of high on "real" and higher on REAL?

By Girlx (Girlx) on Sunday, May 30, 2004 - 02:18 pm: Edit

I know my score's not great like all these ^ kids but to help you out...

"Real"-610
Real-630

So I'd say it's pretty indicative of what's to come.

Where do you usually get low 700's from?

The sparknotes tests are actually very accurate, as is the Real SAT test.

By Shaka (Shaka) on Monday, May 31, 2004 - 12:02 am: Edit

i get low 700s in sparknotes

but then i looked over my mistakes and got 800 on the 4th test in the 5 more tests book from sparknotes...

i guess ill take the 5th one and see if the last 2 800s were spoofs

By Shaka (Shaka) on Monday, May 31, 2004 - 11:56 pm: Edit

just got a 660 on a barron's test...lol

By Sns22022 (Sns22022) on Tuesday, June 01, 2004 - 12:00 am: Edit

750 barrons...I am very proud of myself. Of course it took me about an hour and a half and I fully employed my TI-89. lol. I would be hella happy with anything in the 700s on the real thing. Shaka...a 660 on Barrons is gonna get you above a 700 on the real, in my opinion:)

Well, it seems like everyone is doing better on the actual test than on the Real practice test. Which is good news, though, not that it would help you out, Shaka.

By Shaka (Shaka) on Tuesday, June 01, 2004 - 04:53 pm: Edit

how will that not help me...your logic is...queer

By Entropicgirl (Entropicgirl) on Tuesday, June 01, 2004 - 05:49 pm: Edit

Mmm, sorry...790 on "real," 770 on really real. :/ I know it shouldn't, but that drives me nuts.

By Mr_Sanguine (Mr_Sanguine) on Tuesday, June 01, 2004 - 09:40 pm: Edit

Shaka what are your scores on the Sparknotes?

In review book, I have a 790 and 800.
I've taken one exam from the book with 5 exams (Sparknotes) and got an 800.

So do you think that the Real SATII that the college board publishes is similar in difficulty to the Sparknotes? In other words, is the Sparknotes pretty accurate??

By Shaka (Shaka) on Tuesday, June 01, 2004 - 10:24 pm: Edit

i think sparknotes is accurate...i been getting low 700s on the first 3 tests on sparknotes 5 more tests book...

i got 800 in real sbuject tests book...and then i took a sparknotes one right after and i got another 800...i will take another sparknotes soon to see if those last 2 were flukes

By Chamonix (Chamonix) on Tuesday, June 01, 2004 - 10:31 pm: Edit

You got an 800 on the real practice test, so your score can't go up. Now what's wrong with that logic?

By Shaka (Shaka) on Tuesday, June 01, 2004 - 10:34 pm: Edit

...ok...i guess it's a good thing then? you said it like it was a negative thing
