Does anyone know the scale for a 5 for phy C? i took the alternate test and prob got around 75-80% of mc RIGHT, and got around 2 / 3 for open ended. is that safe for a 5?

yeah its safe. I've heard of 49/90 curves for E&M.

im not sure of the curve for mechanics, i think it is like 59-60/90 out of 5...and i think i got like 85-90% of MC right, but doubt the FR...probably about 45-50% right...careless mistakes....about what would that go for? And for E&M, about 80-85% on the MC, and about 50% on Free response? can anyone give an input? thanks

I thought the Mech FR was really hard. I prolly got around 50% right. I'm just hoping for a 4.

does anyone know the scale from a released test or a reliable source for a 5 on mechanics?

1998 test: 55/90 = 5

i hope this year 55/90 would be a 5...that would mean a little of the FR and almost all MC...thats great....for E&M the curve should be generous, and I could really use it, because I screwed up the whole first question ...haha i thought it was a sphere so I did Gauss' Law wrong..oh well...hopefuly it will be 49/90 for E&M like a prior test...

Do you think that for MECHANICS a 85-90% correct on the MC and like 20% correct on the FR would get me a 4? And a 75-80% correct on the MC and 35% correct on the FR for E&M?
