My score on January's SAT was a 1510 (first try). I want to go to Harvard. Does this score put me in the running for admission?

Yes—I think so.

Are your other stats as high as your SAT score?

I haven't taken the SAT IIs yet. My GPA is 3.9 unweighted.

Studiousvegetar—
Harvard was just asking whether that one stat would put him/her in the running, not everything else.

It depends partly on the breakdown of math verbal...but no score will keep you out of Harvard alone. They have let in people with 900s and rejected people with 1600s so that should tell you something...

I suggest you retake the test, as you took it only once. If you're confident that the score will increase, then I believe a 1550+ would impress the committee more than a 1510 would. That said, if you can't get 750+ on your three SAT II practice tests, then I would concentrate on bringing up your three SAT II tests that you intend to take.
