I recently found people talking about this.
Questions 1.So, what are they exactly in detail? 2.Are they possible to self-study? 3.What class do you need to advance in the competition? Are they proof based, calc based, precalc based, or comprehension? Thanks!

For physics, the people who advance have generally had at least physics C - mechanics. Yes, it's possible to self study. General information and samples of prior physics olympiad questions are available at www.aapt.org
What is USNCO? Do you mean computing olympiad (USACO) or chem olympiad? Google if you want chem olympiad. Info on computing olympiad (which almost everyone does on their own, with minimal involvement from their schools) is at www.usaco.org
