is there a way for me to get my writing test rescore? i dont think i did that bad and i was sure i got over 780.. i wrote a 5 paragraph essay. did well on the mc.. maybe 7 wrongs?? how is this possible..

if i apply to MIT or caltech, will they treat this as 10pts less than 800, or will they think "well, there was a big curve... only raw score 65/75 was necessary for 800... all the kids applying here who got 800s probably did much better than him... etc)

(790 makes me 90th percentile)

The difference between a 790 and a 800 is marginal at best. MIT and Caltech will look at both scores as if they were [almost] the same.

Is it bad that I'm I only have 2 SAT II's so far (Chemistry and Biology-800/780) that are both in the sciences, I'm going to add a Math IIC which is related to science and then writing, which is required, even though I don't have any interest in majoring or even like science?

I'm SO mad b/c spanish i'm only 76th percentile, and that has to be b/c of native speakers, no?

Also i took AP US and really wanted a 750+ on it, so I'm kinda dissapointed, not to be a spoiled brat or anything. Maybe i shouldve studied harder. Ironically I studied more for US.

800 physics/chemisty. this is pretty odd, considering 7% of physics get 800 but only 2% of chemistry. You would think there would be more 800s in physics

um...I thought I did somewhat better at US History...was counting my known missed questions vs. how mnay questions are covered by the curve for an 800...guess I missed more than I thought. And I was worried that I had destroyed my fill-in-the-blank section on spanish. Ah well.

For those who took the physics test, how did you think it was (easy,medium,hard,really hard) and how do your scores correlate. Also, what book(s) did you use to prep - I have the Kaplans but it's too easy based on the real thing, so what else is out there? I think my best options are PR and REAL SAT IIs, but what do you guys think?

I took the Writing on May 1st. Didn't leave any blank (although there were one or two that I was slightly unsure of) and I don't [yet] know how many I got wrong. I got an 800. Guess I either got those few MC questions right or I got two readers who really liked my essay.

hey again....i got a 740 on SAT II writing, and a 760 on SAT II US history....i can probably do better (790) in history, and maybe a little bit better on writing....should i retake them? (i only have room for one of them for June 5) or, are these scores good enough for upenn - huntsman/wharton....i know im gonna get the sarcastic "you ONLY got a 740" stuff, but really, my grades in school are NOT THAT great (refer to my rank lol), so i figure that maybe i should study for these SAT IIs and retake them to compensate partially for my not so great grades....lemme know what you think....thnx!

Crypto: use princeton review and sparknotes. Memorize them and you'll get a 770+ I guarantee it.

740 US History (720-780 range expected)

So I was happilly surprised, now what I am supposed to do with the three test slots I registered for in June. I doubt I'll take Math IC, even though I was thinking about it. I will retake U. S. History since I think I can do better now (didn't know too much about the modern stuff when I took it), and maybe World History after I study for it.

One other thing, I'll be taking Physics and/or Chemistry in Ocober, but I don't think I should take it in June as I don't feel ready for it yet.

I used PR and very little of the Barron's. Shud have used Barron's more.
