760 writing
740 literature

two more to go!!! pleased with literature as I took it as a fourth, but it felt like it went better than the writing.. hmm.. :)

By Frenchfries (Frenchfries) on Thursday, May 13, 2004 - 03:07 pm: Edit

800 in US History! I can't believe it; I felt horrible after the test!

All I have left is Math IIC in June, and I'm running out of excuses not to study.

Good job everyone :D

790 physics
if i apply to MIT or caltech, will they treat this as 10pts less than 800, or will they think "well, there was a big curve... only raw score 65/75 was necessary for 800... all the kids applying here who got 800s probably did much better than him... etc)

(790 makes me 90th percentile)

By Kevinkleinz (Kevinkleinz) on Thursday, May 13, 2004 - 04:06 pm: Edit

The difference between a 790 and a 800 is marginal at best. MIT and Caltech will look at both scores as if they were [almost] the same.

740 Physics =\
750 US History

By Me41 (Me41) on Thursday, May 13, 2004 - 04:19 pm: Edit

My scores are not online... However, I registered by mail, so is that the reason?

Biology--720
History--710
Writing--760

How bad are my bio and history scores? Does anyone think I should retake?

By Kewlkiwi102 (Kewlkiwi102) on Thursday, May 13, 2004 - 04:28 pm: Edit

800 CHEMISTRY!!!!!

whoa, did everyone on here who took chem get an 800? Im the 3rd person...lol

By Innotof (Innotof) on Thursday, May 13, 2004 - 04:30 pm: Edit

Well I got 750 on Chem...IMO, AP Chem was easier.

By Encomium (Encomium) on Thursday, May 13, 2004 - 04:40 pm: Edit

Is it bad that I'm I only have 2 SAT II's so far (Chemistry and Biology-800/780) that are both in the sciences, I'm going to add a Math IIC which is related to science and then writing, which is required, even though I don't have any interest in majoring or even like science?

By Miscgrl (Miscgrl) on Thursday, May 13, 2004 - 04:45 pm: Edit

720 US History
740 Spanish

I'm SO mad b/c spanish i'm only 76th percentile, and that has to be b/c of native speakers, no?

Also i took AP US and really wanted a 750+ on it, so I'm kinda dissapointed, not to be a spoiled brat or anything. Maybe i shouldve studied harder. Ironically I studied more for US.

:(

Taking IIc and Writing in June, better get started!

By Physicskid123 (Physicskid123) on Thursday, May 13, 2004 - 04:49 pm: Edit

800 physics! I was so nervous! This is great.

By Skapoor1 (Skapoor1) on Thursday, May 13, 2004 - 05:36 pm: Edit

800 physics/chemisty. this is pretty odd, considering 7% of physics get 800 but only 2% of chemistry. You would think there would be more 800s in physics

By Binarystar (Binarystar) on Thursday, May 13, 2004 - 05:38 pm: Edit

790 Math IIC
790 Chemistry
660 Writing

By Al4 (Al4) on Thursday, May 13, 2004 - 05:42 pm: Edit

Math IIC 800
Chemistry 760
Physics 730

i should have done better in chem. For physics, i only knew mechanics stuff so considering that, 730 isnt that bad but aiming for 800 next time :)

800 Math IIC
750 Writing

Ecstatic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only chem left now...

By Spright (Spright) on Thursday, May 13, 2004 - 06:15 pm: Edit

haha
um...I thought I did somewhat better at US History...was counting my known missed questions vs. how mnay questions are covered by the curve for an 800...guess I missed more than I thought. And I was worried that I had destroyed my fill-in-the-blank section on spanish. Ah well.

800 Spanish
760 US History

I'm pretty happy

By Aab123 (Aab123) on Thursday, May 13, 2004 - 06:22 pm: Edit

690.

Pretty much what I expected, but I regret skipping so many. Glad I'm taking it in June.

By Aab123 (Aab123) on Thursday, May 13, 2004 - 06:24 pm: Edit

that was on chem btw.

By Shoo_Shakin (Shoo_Shakin) on Thursday, May 13, 2004 - 06:25 pm: Edit

i got a 710 on the math IIC and a 610 on writing

it would be wise to take them again, right?

800 US History

By Crypto86 (Crypto86) on Thursday, May 13, 2004 - 07:29 pm: Edit

For those who took the physics test, how did you think it was (easy, medium, hard, really hard) and how do your scores correlate. Also, what book(s) did you use to prep - I have the Kaplans but it's too easy based on the real thing, so what else is out there? I think my best options are PR and REAL SAT IIs, but what do you guys think?

By Shaka (Shaka) on Thursday, May 13, 2004 - 07:32 pm: Edit

WRITING TEST TAKERS

how many did you get wrong and left blank and what was your correspondin score??

I still didnt get my resaults yet but i want to have a big idea of my score so i wont faint

790 US History

Awesome.

By Kevinkleinz (Kevinkleinz) on Thursday, May 13, 2004 - 08:03 pm: Edit

Shaka-

I took the Writing on May 1st. Didn't leave any blank (although there were one or two that I was slightly unsure of) and I don't [yet] know how many I got wrong. I got an 800. Guess I either got those few MC questions right or I got two readers who really liked my essay. :)

By Dostoyevsky (Dostoyevsky) on Thursday, May 13, 2004 - 08:12 pm: Edit

hey again....i got a 740 on SAT II writing, and a 760 on SAT II US history....i can probably do better (790) in history, and maybe a little bit better on writing....should i retake them? (i only have room for one of them for June 5) or, are these scores good enough for upenn - huntsman/wharton....i know im gonna get the sarcastic "you ONLY got a 740" stuff, but really, my grades in school are NOT THAT great (refer to my rank lol), so i figure that maybe i should study for these SAT IIs and retake them to compensate partially for my not so great grades....lemme know what you think....thnx!

By Physicskid123 (Physicskid123) on Thursday, May 13, 2004 - 08:51 pm: Edit

Crypto: use princeton review and sparknotes. Memorize them and you'll get a 770+ I guarantee it.

By Shaka (Shaka) on Thursday, May 13, 2004 - 09:19 pm: Edit

gahh this sux...my scores are still not up

By Pinacolada (Pinacolada) on Thursday, May 13, 2004 - 09:25 pm: Edit

800 math II
790 writing

By Sherwin (Sherwin) on Thursday, May 13, 2004 - 10:23 pm: Edit

800 Math IIC (expected)
800 Writing (totally unexpected, 700ish expected)
740 US History (720-780 range expected)

So I was happilly surprised, now what I am supposed to do with the three test slots I registered for in June. I doubt I'll take Math IC, even though I was thinking about it. I will retake U. S. History since I think I can do better now (didn't know too much about the modern stuff when I took it), and maybe World History after I study for it.

One other thing, I'll be taking Physics and/or Chemistry in Ocober, but I don't think I should take it in June as I don't feel ready for it yet.

By Miamiman (Miamiman) on Thursday, May 13, 2004 - 10:40 pm: Edit

670 math iic (retaking)
670 writing (might retake)
750 spanish

730 Chem , I am so bummed! I will take it again next May after taking the AP in my Junior year.

I used PR and very little of the Barron's. Shud have used Barron's more.

Got the Sophomore blues
