ash, you have repeatedly said that you got an 800 on the Bio SAT II and the AP Bio exam. I am studying for both these tests now. I know that you thought that they were easy and that you took them without an AP class. Your advice would be very useful to me. Can you please tell me how long you studied, what you used to study. Also, do you know what the curve is like for the Bio SAT II. How many wrong do you think you can get for an 800. Also what books did you use to study. I will apreciate anything you can tell me.

I studied from the Kaplan Bio book and got a 770. By the way, how do you get an 800 on the AP exam. ;-)

Correction - 800 on the SAT II and a 5 on the AP exam.

Not Ash, was the Kaplan Book the only thing you used??

I have no idea what the curve is like for the SAT II because they never tell you how many you got wrong or anything like that. All I remember is that I didn't omit anything. For AP Bio I started studying in December (I think, it was freshman year, two yrs ago). I used the Cliffs AP Bio book and the Kaplan AP Bio book. The Cliffs book is nice because it has some good stuff on the lab setups for the AP test. Since I never did any of the labs, it was quite useful to me. I'm not entirely sure how much time I spent a day studying because I don't set up concrete times for that type of thing, but it was probably half an hour a day or less. I don't know what type of level you're at but you may have to spend more time at it to get the same scores that I got. After the AP test in May, I took the Jun SAT II, but didn't spend any time post-AP studying for it. Some people say that the SAT II is hard, but I didn't think so. By the way, I took Bio-M but if you took the AP Bio exam, I'm sure you would be equally prepared for either E or M. If you have any other questions, just write.
