What?! Is there a computerized SAT? Personally, I would never be able to take a test on a computer. It just wouldn't work for me.

it would be really hard to do it on a computer anyway....do way to take notes, figure math (besides scratch paper) etc...

i think i may have heard something a long time ago about kids who get special testing (for a learning disability or something) can take the SATIIwriting on a computer...so maybe something like that is available?

or maybe he/she meant the TOFEL?? there's both a computerized and paper versions of that test...

Yes, there is a computerized version of the SAT. My son took it for the JHU Talent Search as a 7th grader. It was nice. We were able to schedule it at our convenience and there weren't any tedious circles to blacken in. He also got the score immediately. We did it at Sylvan Learning Center.

Here's the catch - I don't think the computerized SAT is accepted for any colleges. It was not even accepted for the 7th grade talent search for our region (Duke), so he had to take it again in the paper version 2 months later for them.
