Do you recall that in the first section there are like 8 B's in a row?? I'm pretty sure i got them right too.

How is it? Is there alot of vocab? I'm taking it in June.
By Vladimir2004 (Vladimir2004) on Saturday, May 01, 2004 - 03:14 pm: Edit
It was not too bad in general. I dod not have time for the last 2 or 3 questions, but the vocab is rather basic, and you gotta know the endings like for subjunctive, andprepositions like cual and que and cuyo, differenciate the, you know

I got 6 B's in a row...and then got really paranoid.
On the ad with the car accident/arrest company...what was the answer to the question involving "you wouldn't be secure if..."
I said something involving the verb 'manejar.'
And...third question...would this be right?
"ricardo y angela ven mas atleticos"
I couldn't decide if atleticos was supposed to match or not.
The test wasn't too bad, I don't think.
By Xjay2max (Xjay2max) on Saturday, May 01, 2004 - 05:53 pm: Edit
it said, "se ven mas ___________."
I don't think the passive voice makes the past participle of atleticar plural or not.
By Spright (Spright) on Saturday, May 01, 2004 - 06:21 pm: Edit
so would it be:
-atleticos
-atleticas
-atletica
-atletico
??
By Vladimir2004 (Vladimir2004) on Saturday, May 01, 2004 - 06:37 pm: Edit
atleticos
how about those questions on the last passage: did the people come into the man's house to arrest him or protect him or what?
By Miscgrl (Miscgrl) on Saturday, May 01, 2004 - 06:44 pm: Edit
also, what was the first question for the ad for car insurance (?) - what would make you not safe? I dont know if it was just me but none of them seemed right.
By Miscgrl (Miscgrl) on Sunday, May 02, 2004 - 06:48 am: Edit
o ok, got my answer, n.m.
any other questions from the test? I felt like i did unusually well on it, like to know now if i was just not realizing all the little tricks during the test (rather than when logging on in two weeks and having my hopes and dreams crushed
)
Is it just me or do very few ppl seem to take SATs/APs in Spanish, or Language at all? On CC anyhow...

I thought the test was much easier than the practice ones I've done. I don't think there were even any "what random preposition follows this verb?" sorts. Not too many hard subjunctive. Crazy. I didn't like the second fill-in-the-blank passage. And the dog passage...
what was one of the very last questions talking about...the choices were:
- codo
- cuello
- brazo
- something not right
I put brazo since it was the only one that seemed to make sense (can you fit a dog under your elbow?)
(that was a weird thing to say...haha)
By Miscgrl (Miscgrl) on Sunday, May 02, 2004 - 09:12 am: Edit
haha yea i put brazo too, nothing else really made sense there. i mean you cant put a dog under ur neck either, right?
i was so happy to find the grammar was a lot easier than usual. usually i can pretty much get all the reading comp right, but grammar i suck at - but the grammar was fairly easy this time! if anything, the reading was a little harder, but it still wasnt too bad. i only know of 1 question i've gotten wrong so far.

tomelo? I might have said something else.
So the correct answer to the ad one involved "manejar"? I guessed completely on it.
What's the curve typically like?
