I'm unsure if I should take th AP US History AP test. If I end up with a 3, won't that hurt college admissions? Is there anyway I can take it, but not send the score till after I'm finished with college applications?

Colleges generally don't use AP scores for admission. In fact, if you don't take the AP exams it could hurt you. If you don't take the tests, it will seem like you only took the classes for a GPA boost.

BTW...I'm scared about US History too. I had a sucky teacher. It's not hard to self-teach. Just study.

You can withhold AP scores from your AP report as far as I know.

Sns, are you sure? Can anyone substantiate that?

Yes. You can tell CB to hold your scores for $5. However, to reactivate your scores, you must send another $5 for EACH SCHOOL YOU ARE SENDING YOUR SCORES TO. This must be done by June 15.

i thought you send your ap scores to colleges after you are accepted and enrolled. that would mean that it has nothing to do with admissions.

colleges dont like APs either thats why Ivys are stingy and they should be because its could be a substancial loss of profits.
