On the recent real "AP" chemistry exam, I got 53 out of 75. Would I be able to get 5? (considering that I would do really well on the free-response questions)

u need 100 pts or so for a 5, so 53 on the M/C which is 45% of the grade is a good start.

So is the 100 out of 160 zzii. I think that's the real grade conversion scale right?

It's an approximation from a review book. Each exam is probably different but it would be around 100/160. 53 on the M/C means u only need 50 or so out of the remaining 85 part II points for a 5. That's my strategy: go for as many M/C points as possible (70 would be nice) and then don't worry about the Part IIs.
