SAT 1600 Verbal Volume I
by Linda Carnevale, Prof. Dr. Michael Fikar (Spiral-bound)

Does anyone know where i can find this book? I've tried Amazon, but it's out of stock.

By need it! on Monday, February 17, 2003 - 09:29 pm: Edit

Oh and if any, recommend books of the same sort. Thanks in advanced.

By SAT1600 on Monday, February 17, 2003 - 09:29 pm: Edit

I made a post about this book about half an hour ago. lol... Now everyone is going to be searching high and low for those two books.

By need it! on Monday, February 17, 2003 - 09:43 pm: Edit

Actually i saw your post! lol

Do you, by any chance, know how good the book is? Why it's out of stock (stupid question)? Or WHERE IT CAN BE FOUND!

By Jason817 (Jason817) on Monday, February 17, 2003 - 09:48 pm: Edit

SAT1600

Would the books ever be in stock again? Or did they stop printing it? Or did it become illegal or whatever?

How and when can i find it?

By SAT1600 on Monday, February 17, 2003 - 09:59 pm: Edit

Highly doubt its illegal in anyway, lol...

They were published in 2000 according to Amazon. Don't know if there out of print or not.

If the claims are true about them, we would have a lot more very high scorers.

Keep searching I guess, I'm looking for them too.

By need it! on Monday, February 17, 2003 - 10:26 pm: Edit

When you find them can you post it here?

By need it! on Monday, February 17, 2003 - 10:35 pm: Edit

Hey, never know if it's illegal or not! Who knows, maybe they got sued and had to pull every copy off the shelf. Why else would it be almost unfindable, even on the internet (i've tried a lot of book stores already too; its website i mean).

You do realize that book is $90?

By need it! on Monday, February 17, 2003 - 11:03 pm: Edit

If that book can do what it says, it's way worthit...

By Confused on Monday, February 17, 2003 - 11:45 pm: Edit

Um, Jason: There aren't any reviews on Amazon...

???

By Jason817 (Jason817) on Monday, February 17, 2003 - 11:59 pm: Edit

Yes there is. The reviews are on the verbal AND math book as a whole.

The author, Michael K. Fikar, provided his phone number. If anyone is really desperate and wants to get a hold of him...

He can be reached at 1-888-MCAT-LSAT or 1-888-GMAT-GRE

This info was on amazon as well.

By Jason817 (Jason817) on Tuesday, February 18, 2003 - 12:24 am: Edit

try calling him. Either way, the book probably isnt sold ANYWHERE anymore.

By need it! on Tuesday, February 18, 2003 - 01:23 am: Edit

When you call him try asking him when they'll be in stock. And if never, ask him why. I say he was sued! (maybe he's not as good as he claims)

By your local lawyer on Thursday, February 20, 2003 - 04:41 pm: Edit

Some of you guys are jumping the bandwagon here. Many books go out of print, usually because there printed in limited quantities. Once there sold out, there gone. But on occasion they are reprinted! This has happened in the past to books ive wanted.

And "need its" comment.. Sued? Doubt that very highly. The book doesn't claim at all that you will get a 1500 or 1600. Or a 100-800 point increase. The readers of the book make the claims, not the publisher. Thus there is no legal standing present in this matter.

By need it! on Thursday, February 20, 2003 - 06:43 pm: Edit

I was kidding up there...

By the real barrer on Thursday, February 20, 2003 - 06:45 pm: Edit

um congradulatioins on your attempt to mimic a "lawyer" but there are a 1000 things they could be sued for. They don't need to claim point increases to be sued. They coudl of been sued by the ets for using real sat questions, exploiting strategies or a array of things. Princetone Review was actaully sued multiple times by the ETS.

By MadTV on Thursday, February 20, 2003 - 07:29 pm: Edit

"the real barrer" I think he was simply joking around with the lawyer thing. If you didn't notice there is a guy who posts as "your local mayor" on here. Mayor has much more power and authority than a lawyer.

Personally I think the whole lawsuit/lawyer deal is getting way out of hand. People are suing McDonalds or Pizza Hut because there over weight. Or god forbid the traffic light isnt a purdy green they will sue the town. The list is endless!

Final note: If it works use it!

Now wheres that local mayor?
