I always get jacked by the literature/prose passage on the verbal. I do fine on all of the rest of the verbal, but this one kills me.
If I were to do better on the literature/prose part, I would be ~750 on verbal, but instead I'm always down to ~690. I'm good at everything else on the verbal section. WTF
any tips? any website for some (free) tips you could please point me to?
thanks in advance

I used www.number2.com for SAT prep (free), but I think its main emphasis is on learning vocab and whatnot. However, they have prep stuff on every particular area of the SAT, so it could be worth checking out.

Ok i just read through their Reading Comprehension section (and their tips), but they seem to talk only about the passages that i AM good at (the non-literature, non-prose ones).
I'm good at the straightforward passages, but the prose one always seems to be obscure, and the questions tend to be much less straightforward and more open to controversy.

I died in november because of the reading . (600, mostly due to those questions!!)
i recently took another SAT exam in 10 real SATs and got only like 2 reading questions wrong. Though i did worse in math....
(retaking this week!)
I think what helps most of all is to tell your brain that the passage is interesting. Read carefully, and read the questions while u read the passage (they are in order for the most part)
most of all, MAKE IT FUN, thats what screwed me over the first time, it was just to goddamned boring.
and pick the most obvious answers...even if you think its TOO obvious...dont think too much, that seems to be your problem...this is not an AP English test.
