Ok, I was preparing for the May 1st SAT a day ago and I got a 1300. This morning, I did another practice sat and got a 960. GOD I'M PISSED!!!!!!

Does anyone here see this kind of inconsistency when they practive?

Please give me tips on improving verbal score... I heard practicing under 25min for each section improves ur pacing. Any more???

It is unusual to experience that much inconsistency. Are you guessing a lot? The best way to improve the verbal score is to learn new vocabulary words.

I also have had a weird jump in my score. Has anyone taken the Jan. 2002 test from the 10Reals third edition? I was consistently scoring in the upper 1300s, but i got a 1460 for the Jan test. I dont want to get my hopes up if this test is considerably easier than the average difficulty of any given SAT. Then again I hope that I get a similar score this saturday... hopefully it meant that some studying payed off.

I was getting 1200s on practice SAT's in Grubers. I took the real thing in November and got a 1340. I took the real thing in March and got a 1280. i think it depends on the test...there seems to be alot of inconsistancy even with CB.

yeah, i was scoreing like 1240-1260's and my yesterdays score was only a 1200. i was really mad at the 560 math score, since i was scoring 610-630's on the other tests. i just hope that i pull of a 1250-1300 on the real one.

Yeah, I have the same problem. I was using the 10 Real SAT's and I got around 1500-ish and I reached a 1570 at one point (probably the Jan 2002 one... it sorta rings a bell). But then I took the real real SAT in Jan. and got a 1440. Bummer!

So that Jan 02 test isnt a good indactor of anyone's probable score on the real test...that sucks, I was hoping for a 1400 at least.

I feel that the "Ten Real SAT's" Book would probably help alot more if they JUST explain the questions on the practice tests. What do u guys think?

You have to buy a seperate book with explanations.
