In this thread, post events and their consequences. I'll start.
Death of Zachary Taylor->Fillmore into office & Compromise of 1850 was able to be passed
Armistice day (11/11/1918)->Started great depression; huge production of farmers no longer being put to use by being sent overseas, thus became overproduction

Repeal of Stamp Act -> Declaratory Act
Great Awakening (Jonathan Edwards, George Whitefield) -> more churches, "new light" centers (Princeton, Dartmouth, Brown, etc), more emotionalism, 1st united experience of Americans
Waning Religious Zeal -> Jeremiad preachers -> Half Way Covenant -> weakening distinction btwn 'elect' and others
Bacon's Rebellion -> 1680s more black slaves (1. rising wages in Eng, so less people willing to come & 2. black slaves less trouble than indentured servants)

Treaty of Versailles-> Oppressed Germany-> Rise of Hitler-> WWII-> First Use of Atomic Bomb-> America becomes the World Power-> Yalta-> Stalin's Breaking of Yalta Treaty-> Cold War-> Increased Problems w/ USSR-> Reagan's Threats-> Rise of Gorbachev-> End of Cold War-> Breakup of USSR
That's a long one...wouldn't that be a GREAT free-response question? "Trace the end of the cold war from the WWI"
