Is it better to take the test and get a bad score or simply not take the test?

Take the test. If you don't, colleges will see your AP classes as merely a GPA booster. A 3 isn't hard to get if you know the material and study.

I got a 3 in Chem and knew absolute nothing. Well next to nothing, I probably only really absorbed 1/3 of the curriculum. If you're any better than me, you'll probably get a 4 or a 5. Good luck!
