Planning to apply to ivies and ivy-calibers this fall, will be a humanities major (not math/sci/engineering!!). Main question is whether I should submit my Math IIC score of 700 (yikes). I really don't want to retake, math is not my thing (720 M on SAT I, 760 V). Other SAT IIs -- 800 Wr/ 750 Lit/ 760 Latin/ 730 USHist. Is it bad not to have a math/sci score? is my math score just too low to submit? Have good ECs, in top 5% or so, most difficult courseload, URM.

even if you were planning on being an arts major, all ivies either require or strongly suggest that you submit a math/sci score. a 700 isnt bad, and along with your other four, makes for a very solid group of scores.

I haven't seen any ivies that either require or even recommend having a math score. Can you specify which ones, Eric?

I don't have any citations, but, usually, colleges require Writing, Math IC or IIC (preferably IIC), and some other test.

I don't mean to be picky about this, but which schools are you talking about? I quickly checked HYP, and none specify any Math SAT II as a requirement. I know Brown doesn't require it either. I just don't want to mislead anyone here.

Posting again to see if anyone else has advice. Also, if anyone can name which schools require a Math SAT II, please do. Thanks.

I did some research. As far as I know, all you need to submit are three SAT II's, no matter what the subject matter.
