When are students notified if they make the cutoff for the National Hispanic Recognition Program? Also, does anyone know what the cutoff usually is or what it was last year? Thanks.

High schools should be getting requests from College Board to verify the hispanic backgrounds of high scorers this month. Did your Guidance Counselor contact you? I have seen conflicting info on the cut-off, and it could have changed with the changes in the NHRP requirements. At one point it was 180-185, but it is probably much higher now.

Check the TCB website and look for the description of the program. You should find the office location and a listed phone number. Call them amd they should tell you the cut-off. It should still be at around 185 as the averages scores do not change much from one year to another.

The College Board refused to tell me the cut-off for my region. Anyone else have any luck?

If a hispanic student qualifies for National Merit, will they be contacted about National Hispanic Recognition Program as well?
